A Federal High Court in Abuja, has again issued an interim order that status quo be maintained on the rights and privileges of Aminu Tambuwal.

The court ordered that the status quo be maintained pending the determination of preliminary application filed by defendants over the jurisdiction of the court on the substantive suit.

Justice Ahmed Mohammed ruled that while issues that bother on jurisdiction requires that no further step be taken, the court also has the mandate to determine whether it truly has jurisdiction on the matter or not.

And while the court will be in the process of determining its true position as it bothers on its powers to adjudicate on the matter, status quo will be maintained.

He adjourned the case to November 16, 2014. In the meantime, Counsels to the plaintiff and the defendant have interpreted the maintenance of status quo maintenance ordered by the court in different ways especially on whether Tambuwal’s security details.
