Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has defeated Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, candidate of the Labour Party, LP at the latter’s polling unit at the Anifowose area of Ikeja in Lagos State.
By the time the votes were counted, Rhodes-Vivour recorded 18 votes against Sanwo-Olu who scored 29 votes. Olajide Adediran, aka Jandor, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP scored two votes.
But that is not enough to determine who among the three frontline contenders will carry the day. It will be recalled that Bola Tinubu, who ran on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the last presidential election lost Lagos, as a matter of fact he lost Ikeja local government, to Peter Obi of labour Party, yet he was declared winner at the national level, having won the largest number of votes from his performance in other states.
