Those behind the kidnap of Olu Falae, former secretary to Government of the Federation, SGF, have demanded a ransom of N100 million from the Falae family, ordering them to pay the amount before the end of work tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22.

Remi Olayiwola, spokesman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Ondo State, disclosed this to newsmen today, stating that the abductors have contacted Rachel Falae, wife of the victim and requested for N100 million ransom, expected to be paid on or before Tuesday. According to Olayiwola, those who contacted the wife of the party’s national chairman evinced Fulani accent.

Falae, who is the national chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, and a chieftain of Afenifere, was abducted earlier today from his farm in Ilado village, Akure north area of Ondo state.
