A powerful sermon by David Oyedepo is making waves across Nigeria, after the renowned cleric delivered a bold message addressing the country’s growing kidnapping crisis.

Speaking during a service at Canaanland, the headquarters of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel), Oyedepo shared dramatic testimonies of alleged supernatural interventions involving kidnapped church members—stories that have quickly gone viral online.

In one striking account, the bishop said he instructed that his personal phone number be handed directly to kidnappers who had abducted one of his pastors, issuing a 24-hour ultimatum for the victim’s release.

According to him, the situation took a sudden turn, leading to the pastor’s freedom.

He didn’t stop there.

In a statement that has since dominated conversations on social media, Oyedepo told his congregation:

“If anybody picks you, give them my number. If he is not cut down, then I am not God-sent.”

He also recounted another incident involving a female church member who was kidnapped but reportedly declared her release time based on his earlier spiritual assurance. The story, as told during the sermon, described a surprising outcome that left many listeners stunned.

The viral clip has triggered a wave of mixed reactions. Supporters say the message reflects deep faith and spiritual authority, while critics argue that such statements highlight the desperation many Nigerians feel amid rising insecurity.

Kidnapping remains a serious concern across Nigeria, with families, commuters, and communities increasingly affected by abductions for ransom.

Oyedepo, one of Africa’s most influential pastors, is known for his teachings on faith, victory, and dominion. His latest message has once again placed him at the center of national attention—fueling conversations that cut across religion, security, and public trust.

As the video continues to spread, many Nigerians are left asking: Is this bold faith—or a reflection of the times?
