Police Recovers Stolen Vehicle, Ammunition in Lagos

The Lagos command of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF has recovered a Volkswagen Golf Saloon Car with Registration number HC 231 EKY from fleeing armed robbers, police says.

Ngozi Braide, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO made the revelation in a press statement on Tuesday.

Braide also said that a “locally made pistol, one live cartridge and assorted phones were discovered in the vehicle,” which was abandoned by the suspected robbers.

The Police spokeswoman said the car with weapons was recovered by a patrol team attached to Ilemba Hausa Division while on patrol along Shibiri Etegbin Road, Ojo, Lagos from the hoodlums who were said to have taken to their heels in sighting the police vehicle.

Braide said the states’s Criminal Investigation Department Yaba, has launched an investigation into the matter.
