“Let us collectively express our condolences to the bereaved families; those who suffer directly from the loss of these people.

Let me also commend the security men… for their prompt action. We condole with our countrymen and women. We have to work very hard to tackle the issue of Boko Haram.

Government is doing everything to make sure we move our country forward even with these unnecessary distractions that are pushing us back. We will get over it.

We also want to use this opportunity to plead with the media, to the pressmen and women, to begin to come up with enlightenment programmes for our people.

Most countries that face terror, the people need to be very aware of what is happening around them; movements of vehicles or bags so that a number of them can be curtailed.

I believe that if people become observant and conscious by the movement of the people we will be able to reduce some of these attacks; our dear country will continue to work hard, God willing, we will get over it.

This issue of Boko Haram is temporary; surely we will get over it.
