Renowned Nigerian dancer and choreographer Kaffy has candidly revealed the painful challenges she faces in her personal life, sharing how being a single mother of two has become a significant barrier in her relationships.

During a revealing appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, the 45-year-old expressed her frustration, recounting instances where prospective partners refused to date or marry her simply because she has children. She questioned the unfair double standard, arguing that divorced individuals who have worked on themselves may be better partners compared to “fresh” single people.

“I’ve had somebody tell me because I’m a single mother, he can’t even think of dating me because I have two children,” she lamented.
“What’s the guarantee that two single people today are not going to be divorced people tomorrow?”
She added, “Real love brings peace, not butterflies… Many marriages fail — you are part of that statistic.”

Kaffy, who divorced in early 2022 after a seven-year marriage that produced two children, emphasized that emotional maturity and growth, rather than marital status or virginity, should guide meaningful relationships.

Her remarks have ignited a heated discourse online, with many applauding her boldness for dismantling outdated stereotypes about single mothers. Supporters are now advocating for a shift in societal attitudes — encouraging people to see potential over prejudice.
