Borno state is another of the states where law and order broke down within a short time that the protest started. Governor Babagana Zulum has, therefore, imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state to stop further damage. In Borno there was an explosion recorded. The police had to use teargas to disperse the protesters.
The security agencies in the state are said to be meeting to review their strategy to curtail the hostility.
In Kano, some people looted computers and other things in the newly built structure by the National Communication Commission in the Kano metropolis. The Government Reservation Area, GRA of the state was not spared. The police command in Kebbi State also had to deploy teargas before peace could be brought to the state. In the neighbouring Kaduna about 25 people are said to have been arrested for being part of the crowd of people who attacked government buildings in the state. It was also in that state that a police personnel was shot in the leg.
In Bauchi State, the police command said it has arrested some people who tried to attack the building of a public figure.
Curiously, some groups of people also went out to protest against the organisers of the #endbadgovernance protest. They claimed that it was too early to blame the administration of President Bola Tinubu that has just spent a little over one year. However, there were also claims that some of those in the other groups may have been paid to participate in the anti-protest exercise.
