Voters defied the early morning rain to cast their vote at Ataoja ‘E’ Adewale Str., Ward 5 Unit 17 in Osogbo.

The re-run to conclude the Osun Governorship election that was declared inconclusive by INEC started on a good footing this morning.

As early as 7 am voters were seen trooping to the two voting units at Ataoja ‘E’ Adewale Str. Ward 5 Unit 17, the only place where the re-run is taking place in Osogbo Local Government to exercise their voting right.

Voting commenced at 8 am with voters who were enthusiastic to cast their votes for their preferred party between the APC or PDP.
The security was tight and voters were orderly on the queue. Anyone who does not have any business within the jurisdiction of the voting units was turned back by security officials.

At the adjoining street, party members and their agents were seen moving around making contacts with their people.

When the rain started around 9.15 am, voters defied the rain by staying put in the queue.

A voter was arrested with a permanent voters card that was allegedly cloned by the police and taken to the State Police Headquarters.
