Former Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s Director in charge of Voter Education, Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi has been named Edo State Attorney General and Justice Commissioner.
Recall that Governor Godwin Obaseki had on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, sworn in 15 commissioners, being the first batch of the reconstituted state executive council following the dissolution of the former council Wednesday, May 3.
A press statement on Thursday signed by the secretary to the state government, Osarodion Ogie, a lawyer, assigning portfolios to the new commissioners, directed them to resume at their various Ministries and begin to function in their various capacities immediately.
The Commissioners and their portfolios are as follows:
Ministry of Communication and Orientation – Christopher Osaretin Nehikhare; Ministry of Education – Dr. Joan Osa-Oviawe; Ministry of Housing, Urban and Regional Planning & Development – Isoken Omo; Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security – Stephen Ehikioya Idehenre; and Ministry of Justice/Attorney General – Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi.
Others are the Ministry of Health-Dr. Samuel Alli; Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs – Monday Osaigbovo; Ministry of Mining and Energy – Enaholo Ojiefo; Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Tourism – Uyi Oduwa-Malaka; and Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning – Adaze Aguele-Kalu.
Christabel Omoh Ekwu is to man the Ministry of Social Development & Gender Issues; Patrick Uanseru – Ministry of Business, Trade & Cooperatives; Ethan Osaze Uzamere – Ministry of Roads & Bridges; Kingsley Uwagbale – Ministry of Public Security and Safety; and Joshua Omokhodion – Ministry of Environment and Sustainability.
