…Says “I am a contented person

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, has ruled out the possibility of working with whoever wins the ongoing election if he lost. Accosted by journalists at his Agulu hometown in Anaocha local government area of Anambra State Saturday morning before going out to cast his vote, Obi also insisted that if elected, he would not steal the people’s money; and if otherwise, “it’s by His grace”.
Asked if he would be willing to work with whoever wins, Obi, though optimistic of victory, said “That won’t come; but I am not looking for a job. I am a very contented person. I just want to serve the people. I want to show compassion, I want to love the people. I want to help pull people out of poverty. My joy is in helping people; living with people”.

He said should he win the election, the first thing he would do is “thank God and care for the people”. Appreciating the grace of God upon his life, Obi said “That is why if I have opportunity to serve, I’ll serve the people. I will not steal their money because it is by His grace; it wasn’t by my power. The reason why you people are here looking at me is by His grace. If He takes it away, you won’t be here.
Asked in a lighter mood if he would still take pictures with journalists as president, he laughed and responded “Yes; let me tell you, if you can’t do that, that is the end of the world”.
