Former Deputy Senate President, Wash Pam, Dies At 73

 

A former Deputy Senate President, Senator John Wash Pam is dead. He died at about 1.25 pm on Thursday at the National Hospital Abuja due to complications arising from prostate cancer.

 

His death was confirmed by his first son, Ganan Wash Pam and his Special Assistant, Williams Chieshe Jnr.

 

Wash Pam was the Deputy Senate President while Senator Joseph Wayas was Senate President betweeen 1979 and 1983.

 

“Baba died about one and half hours ago,” said Ganan while adding that, “He has been battling with prostrate cancer for a while now.”

 

He is survived by two wives and 18 children. Wash Pam was a prominent Berom elder and hails from Foron district of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
