The first child of late Fela Anikulapo Kuti, the Afrobeat legend, Yeni Kuti turned 60 years old on Monday. Popularly known as YK, Yeni has been a household name in Nigeria and beyond.

The car gift was presented by her fans on Your View, a discussion programme on Television Continental, TVC, anchored by Morayo Afolabi-Brown.

The TV host who presented the car to Yeni on behalf of her admirers said, “We reached out to friends of the show to support our purchase of this gift. I want to use this opportunity to thank all of them specially. Your car is paid in full by lovers of our show. Enjoy your gift with your full chest! We truly love you.”

It will be recalled that ten years ago, while celebrating her 50th birthday, she also got a brand-new Hyundai SUV, 2009 edition from an undisclosed person worth N4.5m.

Yeni is like her father, the revolutionary artists, as she holds strong views on politics and development.
