Atiku Appeals for Unity in PDP

In his acceptance speech Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and the winner of the presidential primaries of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP pleaded with fellow party members to ensure that the party goes into the forthcoming election a united party.
He admonished members who may be aggrieved over the outcome of congresses and state primaries to make use of the internal mechanism in the party to resolve issues.

He extended a hand of fellowship to fellow contestants and pleaded with those who may have left the party in anger to return in the interest of the party.
According to Atiku, the opposition party would be sympathetic to the cause of the ordinary Nigerians by presenting a common front to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC who he said had impoverished the people.
