Amaju Pinnick, Delta FC chairman, has won the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, election held today in Warri after two rounds of voting. Pinnick led other contestants with 25 votes in the first round, as Taiwo Ogunjobi polled 9 votes, while Dominic Iorfa polled 6 votes and Amanze Uchegbulam secured 4 votes respectively.
In the second round of voting, Pinnick emerged the winner with 32 votes. Dominic Iorfa came second with 8 votes while Taiwo Ogunjobi was third with 4 votes.
Reacting to the outcome of the election, Iorfa said he was a better candidate for the NFF president position, lamenting, “money won the election,” even as other candidates have congratulated Pinnick on his victory.
