Bambang Soelistyo, Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency Chief has confirmed that the debris found by the agency, belonged to the Air Asia plane that crashed in the Java sea and that only three bodies have so far been retrieved.
“Today we evacuated three bodies and they are now in the warship Bung Tomo”, he said at a news conference on Tuesday.
The Airbus A320-200 carrying 162 people crashed Sunday, on its way from Indonesia’s second largest city, Surabaya to Singapore.
