The Sports Garden of the Champions International Schools, Magboro, Ogun State, was filled with people from all walks of life. They were there to celebrate the school’s 20th anniversary. In attendance were current and old students, as well as families, friends and well-wishers, as the management rolled out the drums to celebrate two decades of impactful operation and shaping of great minds.
The school, which mission is to build and deliver quality and trusted education for the good of every child, celebrated its 20th years of existence in grand style with goodwill from the community’s traditional ruler, neighbours, students and parents.

With the theme “Praise of His Deeds”, with reference to Psalm 105:1, there was praise worship to show gratitude to God for His goodness in the past twenty years.
Pastor (Mrs.) Abosede Adekeye, Chief Executive Officer of the school, in her welcome address, explained how the dream of the school came to reality. While thanking God for His guidance and faithfulness in bringing the school to the height now being celebrated, she also paid tribute to her husband, Pastor Fola Adekeye, who is Director of Studies.
Then, she dropped a hint that excited the audience. Mrs. Adekeye said that by God’s grace, Champions University will soon be established!
Conscious of the growth of the champion International Schools, the community knew that a new giant was on the way. The story of the rise of the school is a testament to the drive of the Adekeyes and the grace of God for the project. She had told the August visitors that “We started teaching our children at home and within days, parents brought their children, and our living room became our first classroom. Teaching and learning became more exciting inside our living room which is now our Montessori School”.

She further said, “It has been 20 years of raising intelligent students, grooming champions, and witnessing God’s unfailing promises.” That is visible, not just in the edifice housing the schools, but in the great minds that have been moulded there and the impact the school has had on the community. This is not lost on the people of Magboro and the royalty there.
For instance, Chief (Dr.) Idowu Ogunsola, The Oluomo of Aiyedun Kingdom and Chairman of the occasion, in his remarks, described the founders as his daddy and mummy. He said that the success of Champions International Schools is a testament to divine grace and hard work.
