Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, has condoled with Oba Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke-Ila in Osun State, on the demise of his wife, Olori Solape Christiana.
In a statement released on Sunday, Owa said, “It is with deep sorrow that I received the news of the passing of your beloved wife, Olori Solape.”
The paramount ruler of Ijeshaland described the late Olori as “a woman of grace, dignity, and compassion, whose presence touched many lives within and beyond the walls of the palace, as well as the borders of Oke-Ila.” He said she would be remembered for the way she impacted people with whom she had contact during her eventful life.
The Owa, while stating that the loss must be with great pain, however, prayed that God comforts the royal household, as well as grant them “the strength to bear the immense loss and grief.” Owa Haastrup, who assured Oba Abolarin for his continued prayers, concluded by asking God to grant “sweet repose” to the ‘spirit of Olori Solape’.
