Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle, popularly known as Sego and Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, has addressed the public following his invitation by the Department of State Services (DSS) over allegations of incitement.
Speaking on Monday afternoon, Sego dismissed the accusations as “false rumours” aimed at tarnishing his image and destabilizing the union. He insisted that he has always been a man of peace and that his messages are directed solely at NURTW members, not against any particular group.
“Everyone has the right to associate freely and choose their affiliations, and I fully respect that. This is clearly an attempt to destabilize me and the NURTW in Lagos State,” Sego said.
The Lagos NURTW chairman revealed that he has been released on bail and remains committed to promoting peace, unity, and the progress of the union. He also issued a caution to online bloggers and media outlets, urging them to verify information before publishing.
“I appreciate bloggers for informing the public, but I strongly warn you not to be biased. Spread the truth, remain fair, and report responsibly,” he added.
