The identities of Air Force officers who died in a plane crash Sunday morning have been released. They are: Flt. Lt. Gadzama; Flt. Lt. Piyo; Flg. Offr. Okpara; FS. Olawumi, ACM Johnson and Sgt. Oluka.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Air Staff,(CAS) Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao, has ordered an immediate investigation into the tragic incident.
AVM Amao, while commisserating with the families of the deceased on behalf of all NAF personnel, appealed to the the general public to remain calm and await the outcome of investigation.
The military aircraft King Air 350 en route Minna, Niger State, had crashed around the runway 15 minutes after taking off from the Abuja airport.
A tweet by Aviation minister, Hadi Serika disclosed that the plane had reported engine failure.
