E-commerce is spreading its tentacles across different sectors of the Nigerian economy. To aid buying and selling of agricultural products like Garri, Fufu mash and cassava stem among others, HarvestPlus Nigeria has introduced the 1st e-Market, an online marketing platform, in Nigeria. Paul Ilona, country manager, HarvestPlus Nigeria, explained that the initiative was introduced to address the challenge of absence of reputable platform for farmers and buyers to either display their produce or buy farm produce. Ilona said the process is very simple to operate by the two parties involved. “All they need to do is to register on harvestplusng.com and that can be done in three minutes at no cost.”
