The federal government has launched investigation into the CCTV camera project in Abuja. Sources say this was one of the issues that cropped up at the security meetings held following the latest bombings in the federal capital.
The source said President Goodluck Jonathan had expressed concern that no report had been given to him on how any perpetrator of the different crimes, particularly the bombings had been exposed by CCTV camera.
The meeting was then informed of the defect of the cameras , for instance the ones installed by Chinese contractors.
The President then gave instructions for the probing of the contract.
