Big Brother is anonymous, he can only be heard not seen and is fondly called ‘Biggie’ by the housemates. The housemates are to engage in tasks, play games, learn more about each other, form relationships and entertain the audience. Because of some activities that may be considered inappropriate for younger viewers the show is for adults, from the age of eighteen.

Big Brother Naija season six will run for 72 days, the audience will vote weekly to decide on which housemates they want to keep on the show, and in the final week the contestant with the highest number of votes is declared the winner of the grand prize. The show is not only popular in Nigeria, it has audiences in the United Kingdom and other African countries like Ghana, South Africa and Uganda.

The image of an eye is the symbol of the Big brother Naija alongside the statement “Big Brother is watching you”. It is really not only the Big Brother that sees everything, the audience also watches live from home, even sometimes when housemates fail to control their emotions, including sexual indulgence.
