Collapsed Building: Protest in Lagos As Hospital Authorities Demand Payment Before Treatment

As they grief over what has befallen them and their loved ones, some families of survivors of the collapse building in Lagos are protesting demand for payment before treatment at the Lagos Island General Hospital.

It was gathered that hospitals are demanding for as much as N150, 000 before commencing comprehensive treatment of some of the survivors with severe injuries.

There are concerns that government hospitals are being insensitive to the plight of some parents and guardians who are battling to save the lives of their children who are victims of last Wednesday’s building collapse in the Ita-Faaji area of Lagos Island.
