A heavy downpour may cause a short delay in the activities for the inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as president and vice president respectively.
By 8:00 am, workers were seen frantically mobbing water from the carpet on the ground at the Eagle Square, venue of the event. In fact, a stand erected for the occasion collapsed during the rain.
That notwithstanding dignitaries have started to arrive for the event.
