The Nigerian internet space is on fire after fast-rising TikTok star GheGhe announced that he made over $30,000 (₦45 million+) in just one hour from a single livestream.

Celebrating the milestone, GheGhe said:
“I made over $30,000 from gifting alone.”
The announcement comes as his self-styled “GheGhe University of Wisdom and Understanding” hit 170,000 online students, with thousands of Nigerian youths embracing his controversial but entertaining classes.
During the viral session, GheGhe’s TikTok live pulled in more than 120,000 viewers, making it one of the most-watched Nigerian streams of the year.

However, his success has stirred controversy. Influencer Saidaboj came for GheGhe with a scathing diss track, mocking his appearance and dismissing his growing cult-like following. The shots quickly escalated into a heated clash on social media, with fans split between praise and criticism.
Some Nigerians hail GheGhe as an online version of Andrew Tate, giving young men a voice against what they describe as “unhealthy entitlement” among women. Others dismiss his rise as another worrying sign of misplaced priorities among Nigerian youths.
