AirAsia Crash:Co-Pilot Was Flying

The crash of an AirAsia plane plunges families and the Asian continent into yet another mourning period, leaving the aviation industry in a trying moment

Information retrieved from the flight data recorder of AirAsia Flight QZ8501, reveals that the co-pilot, French national Remi Plesel was flying the plane when it crashed.

The plane was carrying 162 people from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore when it crashed into the Java Sea on December 28.

So far, 70 bodies have been found.

Head Investigator of Indonesia’s National Transportation Safety Committee, Mardjono Siswosuwarno, said the fight data recorder had provided a “pretty clear picture” of what happened during the last moments of the flight.
