Low turnout of voters characterized today’s governorship and State House of Assembly elections in parts of Lagos, compared to the presidential election. An electoral officer at Polling Unit 032, Ward C, in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, Adamu Mosuru said the process has been peaceful but many people didn’t really come out to cast their votes.
Another polling agent, Taiwo Kayode who admitted that people didn’t really come out much to vote, also explained that she and her party (APC) members had to start going from house to house to call people out to vote but their response was not encouraging
