President Goodluck Jonathan, on Thursday, declared his ambition to seek re-election by contesting in the 2015 presidential election.
He told Peoples Democratic Party leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja that he would procure nomination form of the party before the deadline.
The National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday, October 22, gave President Goodluck Jonathan and other aspirants vying for various elective positions, one-week ultimatum to purchase their expression of interest and nomination forms.
The party said it cannot go for a national convention to ratify anyone who has not indicated interest to contest.
The president has also set up a presidential declaration committee. The committee, which is headed by Haliru Bello, a former Minister of Defence, is saddled with the responsibility of coming up with a formal programme for his declaration.
The declaration would be held between November 7 and 15.
