Kesington Adebutu,chairman of Premier Lotto Limited popularly known as Baba Ijebu, has urged Nigerian youths to take life easy, as excessive anxiety to make wealth overnight can be very dangerous. He said this on Friday while unveiling programmes set up to mark his 80th birthday. “The young ones don’t want to crawl before they walk. Nowadays, they are too far and it will not do them any good. I was not born with silver spoon and I have experienced bitter life,sweet life and I believe that is how it should be. But the younger ones want it sweet all their lives and this not correct.”,he said. The philanthropic Premier Lotto chairman also noted that people should also learn to give back to the public especially, the less privileged.” I want to be remembered for good name,because good name is better than riches.Money is to be spent,but good name will live forever. That is my ambition.” Like every other sucessful entrepreneur,Adebutu said he faced many challenges ,but remained focused,passionate and believed in God.
The commemoration of his 80th birthday and the 10th anniversary of his Foundation- Kesington Adebunkola Adebutu Foundation,KAAF. The anniversary which runs from Monday 19 to October 24th,will start with a three-day free medical outreach which will involve eye test for children,cervical examination for women and general medical examination for all. This will be followed by a special capping,where Adebutu would be installed as the new Asajuoba of Lagos at the palace of Oba Rilwan Akinolu. Perhaps the most anticipated event will be on Friday,October 23, when special promotion will be held for loyal customers to win prizes. “Top on the prize chart are eight brand new cars other gift items.The procedure for participating is already in the public domain”,he explained. The grand finale holds on Saturday at Eko Hotel and a church thanksgiving service.
