For his remarkable reforms in the public sector, the Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Dr. Tom Obaseki is to be conferred with the Digital Local Government Chairman of the Year Award by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, BPSR, an agency in the Presidency.

This planned award was the outcome of a nationwide nomination and online voting process conducted by various media organisations.

Dr. Obaseki will be presented with the award at the Nigeria GovTech Public Service Awards 2024 in Abuja, scheduled for October 10-11, 2024, at the NICON Luxury Hotel.

This achievement showcases Dr. Obaseki’s efforts in transforming the council’s operations from analogue to digital, aligning with the Edo State Government’s digital governance initiatives.

The Oredo LG Council Chairman’s award nomination was an acknowledgement of the impact of digital governance on local government economic development and citizen empowerment.

The BPSR plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing these reforms, ensuring their effective implementation.
