Smile Communications limited, a mobile broadband service provider on Wednesday launched a new voice app called SmileVoice.
The app allows customers to make voice and video calls at the lowest rate of 8 kobo per second to all networks (compared to other service providers in Nigeria).
Unveiling the new app on Wednesday, Group Managing Director of the company, Godfrey Efeurhobo said, “Today, I am proud to announce the lowest call rate in Nigeria, using the very latest 4G LTE technology.
“Yes, Nigeria! It is true. You can make calls at 8 kobo per second to any network in Nigeria. You can also make and receive calls at the same rate from any country in the world. That is the Smile innovation!”
The innovation is seen as a historic breakthrough for the Nigerian telecom industry because it is the first free mobile app that gives subscribers access to super clear voice calls over 4G LTE network, without the need for a VoLTE handset.
Group Head of Communications and Marketing, Nicolene Van-Zyl said registered subscribers of the new app will enjoy the same 8 kobo/seconds tariff to all networks where ever they may be around the world.
Van-Zyl said the app is reliable and convenient to use.
